Will game testing experience work in software testing industry?

Question

I am working for the past 10 months in game testing and now i want to make a career in software testing.I already did a software testing course,but the catch is that i'm 2012 passed out,with some gap after my graduation and has less than 60% in 10+2.

Will my game testing experience work in the software testing industry? If not,plz suggest how to enter the software testing industry?? I'm really wandering helplessly,Plz help me out.....Thanks in advance...
